Our qualified and experienced British inspectors are trained to the highest level and are fully educated with the British Building Regulation Standards which are far higher then those in Spain to ensure your property is inspected thoroughly and professionally.
The Spanish snagging Inspection process exists for a reason, and every Spanish Property has its faults, some minor, some major, either way it is essential for these to be highlighted during the process as new found faults will not be rectified afterwards which can be very frustrating.
What is 'snagging'?
Snagging is a term used in the building industry to check a structure has been constructed and finished to a high standard.
Why can't I snag my new home myself?
The knowledge that an experience professional has inspected your property with a fine tooth comb is paramount. Not only do we give you peace of mind that a thorough inspection has been made, but we also eliminate the frustration of items that are inevitably missed. We will remove the stress of getting snagging remediated and the many unscheduled visits to check the work which should be completed.
We provide a detailed report including fault descriptions, photos and remediation measures which is presented to the developer, remediation team and yourself in English and Spanish.
Do I need to be Present for the Snagging?
We do recommend that you be present during our initial inspection but this is not compulsory as we understand that this is not always possible.
How Long does it take for my Home to be rectified?
Your developer will usually be contacted to complete the work within thirty working days but it is not uncommon for this process to go on for some time! We work in the resorts everyday and chase the relevant personnel to have the work completed as soon as possible ready for you to enjoy your home.
What if my Home has not been fully rectified when checked?
Even with the level of detail in our report, properties in Spain are very rarely completed to the required standard first time round, mainly due to poor workmanship. We can revisit your home as many times as necessary to ensure all work has been completed.
